IRHA's 2011 High Point Awards Programs
To qualify for any of IRHA's High Point Awards Programs, members must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a current IRHA member in good standing;
- Points are based on one horse / one rider per division;
- Points are parallel to ARHA's points system (10 or more horses in the class, 1st place receives 10 points, 2nd place receives 9 points, etc. Less than 10 horses in the class, 1st place receives same number of points as there are horses in the class, etc.)
Weekend High Point Champion Awards Program
- Based on all classes in the respective division;
- Points are based on one horse / one rider per division;
- Exhibitor may show and accumulate points in any division they qualify for (youth may only show in open and youth classes, amateur may show in amateur and open classes, open exhibitors may only show in open classes)
Year End Overall High Point Champion Awards Program
- Points are based on one horse / one rider per division;
- Exhibitor may show and accumulate points in any division they qualify for;
- ONLY POINTS EARNED IN THE FOLLOWING CLASSES WILL BE COUNTED FOR YEAR END HIGH POINT AWARDS:
- Conformation
- Ranch Trail
- Ranch Riding
- Ranch Roping
- Ranch Cutting
- Working Cow Horse
- Working Ranch Horse

High Point Class Champions
-Must be current IRHA member in good standing;
-Points based one one horse / one rider / division;
-Members accumulating the most points in each division and in each class will be awarded at the Year End Awards Banquet
Amateur & Youth Rookie of the Year
-Rules are parallel to that of ARHA's rules in the 2010-2011 Rule Book;
-Must be a first time ARHA Amateur or Youth card holder;
-Must be current IRHA member in good standing;
-Member may not have won ANY breed association points prior to this year in any division (this is subject to verification);
-Must attend at least 3 of the 4 shows of the year;
-In the event of a tie between more than one member in the same division, the member earning points in the greatest number of events will earn the award at the Year End Award Banquet
Sportsmanship Award
IRHA will honor a member who displays the character, spirit, attitude and behavior that embodies the very mission of ARHA. This member displays honesty and fairness in everything he or she does and treats others, regardless of status or skill, with respect. Be they horseman or horsewoman, this individual observes and plays by the rules and conducts him or herself with true sportsman-like manners at all times.
