IRHA is the state affiliate for the American Ranch Horse Association. We are open to all horse lovers of any skill level. Whether you are interested in conformation classes, showmanship, horsemanship, trail, reining, cutting or other cattle classes, we have something for everyone. IRHA is a fun, family-friendly organization that encourages its members to grow in the wonderful art of horsemanship through its clinics, shows, events and fellowship. HOOSIER CIRCUIT MAY 19 & 20 Cloverdale, IN C Bar C Expo Center FRIDAY EVENING POTLUCK SUPPER May 18 at 7:30 pm IRHA will provide the main meat dishand table service. Please bring your own drinks. Please bring your favorite dish to share. We will shut the arena down at 7:30 and have supper. General Meeting at 8:00 pm Cattle practice will start at 9 am on Sunday and run through class 45. Cost per run is $25 for 4 minute work, sign up at the practice. First come, first served. The practice will run concurrently with conformation, so those who wish to practice on cattle but also show in conformation, please be aware of this and coordinate your schedules accordingly. IRHA is happy to announce the Show Secretary for 2012 is Candy Colbert. Candy was IRHA's first president and she and her family have helped IRHA in different capacities since IRHA was formed in 2007. Please have your entry forms COMPLETELY and ACCURATELY filled out before submitting them to the Show Office. Information from your horse's ARHA registration and your membership card MUST MATCH the info you put on the entry form. Incorrect or incomplete information will result in a loss of ARHA points. IRHA Officers will be at the show all weekend to assist anyone who needs help. Please visit our Show Office for more information on our Officers, IRHA Sponsors and other information regarding shows and high point awards. Exhibitors are responsible for making sure their points are accurate with ARHA. IRHA points will be posted on the website after each show. Vice President Miriam Farrell is happy to announce the winner of the first Larry Trocha video membership drawing on Colt Starting is Dalten Luttman! Dalten submitted his name at the IRHA booth at the Hoosier Horse Fair. Congratulations Dalten!! The video membership for the Intro to Cow Work video will be drawn at the May Cloverdale show. Youth will have a chance to win the Groom, Saddle and Ride video membership at Cloverdale as well. Must be present at Cloverdale to win. The winner for the free stall at Cloverdale is Carrie Brown! Carrie earned her free stall by securing Sposorships. Congrats Carrie! The IRHA booth at the Hoosier Horse Fair saw many new faces! We gained and ARHA and IRHA membership as well. Thanks to all the IRHA members who volunteered to run the booth! Thank you VERY much to Miss American Ranch Horse, Lindsey Conti for coming all the way from Tennessee to help us. ARHA announced earlier in the year that the current ARHA rulebook has a misprint on the Ranch Reining pattern #2. ARHA sent an email out explaining the error, along with a corrected ranch reining pattern. If you need this pattern, please contact any of the IRHA officers or Nancee Ward and it will be emailed to you. IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING THE SEPTEMBER ROCHESTER SHOW: Comfort Inn in Rochester is IRHA's Official Host Hotel for the June and September Rochester shows. IRHA has arranged for guests to receive a 10% discount at Comfort Inn. Their phone number is 574-223-7300 if you wish to reserve rooms for either of these shows. HOWEVER, due to a home football game at Notre Dame the same weekend as the September Rochester show, BOTH hotels in Rochester have a strong chance of being booked full by AUGUST. If you intend on reserving rooms for Rochester in September, please do so WELL before August.
